How the Sunamp Heat Battery Works
The Sunamp electric water system uses advanced phase-change technology to store heat and deliver hot water on demand efficiently. The main difference is you’re storing heat, not water (like with a traditional system), so you only heat the water you need when it’s needed – massively reducing waste.
Here’s how the system works:
Phase-Change Material (PCM)
The core uses Plentigrade, a PCM that absorbs energy during charging. This material stores the heat until it’s required, offering efficient thermal storage of between 3.5 kWh and 14 kWh.
Electric Charging
The battery charges using electricity from multiple sources, including off-peak tariffs, solar panels, or standard mains supply. This flexibility helps reduce energy costs.
